The Memorial Mile

The 11th annual Memorial Mile took place before the Boardman Parade and former Kent State Runner, Brad Hunt, became the first man to “three-peat”. Matt Folk, who ran 3:59 Friday night at the Odgen Newspapers Mile, was second. Luke Burton was third. Mount Union College Runners Joe Eby and Mark Prejsner rounded out the top five.

Hometown Runner, Becky Rudzik out-ran master runner Penny Felger to be the first women to “three-peat”. There was prize money for the top five open, top two Masers and First Grand Masters. Sponsors of this years race included: The Jock Stop, Ground Round, DeBartolo Corporation, Armstrong Cable, and PUMA.
